I think I will take a trip to Burford this weekend.................

Tetbury ....... a worthwhile visit

Tetbury

Tetbury is a picturesque market town in the Cotswolds. It lies on the site of an ancient hill fort on which an Anglo-Saxon monastery was founded around 681.

The famous Market House in Tetbury

There are lots of independent shops including the well-known Highgrove Shop. Royalty has always been linked to Tetbury as Highgrove, the official residence of HRH The Prince of Wales is situated just outside Tetbury.

There are quite a few coffee shops in Tetbury but the quaint coffee shop, The Two Toads, caught my eye.

The cuppuccinos were steaming, the breakfast tasty and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is cosy and inviting inside. Don't be deceived by its size as there is a spacious tea garden out back as well. All in all, a good choice for a coffee stop ( and breakfast too! )

A cosy interior.

Welcome to the Cotswolds....... Visiting Bourton on the Water and THE CROFT

                                         Bourton-on-the-Water

As we head into the Spring months, many of us are venturing out more and are looking for things to do and new places to visit. The beautiful Cotswolds area of the UK is well worth a visit.

Places worth mentioning are Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford, Bibury, Cirencester and the list just goes on and on.

Having had the wonderful opportunity to live in this beautiful part of the UK and get to visit many of the local coffee shops and restaurants, I would like to take this opportunity to share some with you....

There are many places to sit and have a coffee or light lunch in Bourton-on-the-Water.

Today we are going to visit THE CROFT. It is positioned next to the river and offers a wide variety of food from Breakfasts to Lunches....

The staff are always friendly and polite, the food is good and the coffee is always hot. I have taken a few pictures for you to decide if this is where you would like to visit on your next trip to Bourton-on-the-Water.

Relax and Unwind says it all......
